Tour:  Service Request Information

Workplace Manager is centered around the Service Request (or work order, problem report, etc.). The Request Screens are tabbed into the following sections:

  • Request Information - captures general information as well as user defined data fields.
  • Text and Documentation - extended textual description of the request.
  • Business Need - additional text entry screen for management justification and goals.
  • Other Info - additional metrics
  • Approvals - a series of up to eight approvals that may be keyed to specific users or groups.
  • Satisfaction Survey - allows the user to rate performance and the quality of the final product.
  • Estimates and Assignments - dates, hours, and work assignments for the request or its WBS tasks.
  • Expenses - budgeted and actual dollars in various categories.
  • Cost Allocation - allows for the splitting of costs by account or user - for chargeback and billing.
  • Custom - provides additional customization using other data fields.
The WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) button allows the user to define phases and tasks for the request.  Optionally, they can be imported from Microsoft Project systems that provides the MPX export capability. Workplace Manager allows users to estimate each task and track progress as time, expenses, and progress are reported.
